Angel Flight Patient & Community Response Terminal
At the celebration of our 25th Anniversary we announced the first capital and endowment campaign for Angel Flight in effort to plan for the next quarter century of service to the community. This is a $4.5 million fundraising effort that will provide the essential underwriting for the construction of a much needed Angel Flight Patient & Community Response Terminal
at DeKalb Peachtree Airport (PDK). The Wakefield Beasley & Associates architectural and design firm is working with Hardin Construction to develop a facility to serve our needs
today and into the future.
Building on our historic core competencies and our position of leadership Angel Flight
is poised to deepen its impact in the greater community. In response to the need to better serve our patients and pilots, we will expand our services and offer greater accessibility.
We will build a comprehensive facility where our services - and the families that we serve -
are more appropriately functional and accessible. This new home will be a comfortable haven for patients on their path to healing.
This campaign was designed to enlist the support of individuals, foundations and
corporations - friends both old and new - who share our vision to soar into the future. Unfortunately, the economic downturn has presented insurmountable obstacles for raising capital funding. The opportunity of having a location available at PDK airport is a very scarce one that we do not want to lose. With the support of Hardin Construction and Wakefield Beasley Architects, we have a shovel-ready project that will be critical and invaluable in our efforts of servicing the community. We believe that the importance of our mission to the healthcare and patient community and having first-responder status during disaster relief efforts makes us a viable candidate for stimulus funding.
